Quimby Melton has spent the past twenty years building a diverse range of businesses and products. These include a marketing consulting agency, a logistics application for the offshore energy market, three business marketing apps, a modular housing company, and a handful of content sites and short films. During this time, he learned a lot about what does and does not work in digital marketing and developed low-cost, high-impact techniques for driving discovery by search engines and AI agents.
Since 2022, he's led the second-shift in the Walmart #2031 backroom in Union City, California. With his team, he developed a gamified truck unloading system called Cargo Champs (gocargochamps.com), which has reduced truck unload time 30–40 mins (~20%). This kind of talent engagement, increased inventory velocity and sales, and extraordinary shrink control resulted in #2031 being chosen as 2026's store of the year among 120+ peer stores in the district.
Quimby holds an AB in English from the University of Georgia and an MA and PhD in English from UNLV.
